This competition is sanctioned by the Scottish Harp Society of America. Selections of original origin are acceptable in a Scottish style (except non-graded) and be performed on a non-pedal harp. Entry fee includes a workshop for all harpers led by Jen Narkevicius following the competition. To prepare your music and arrangements, please consult the SHSA Handbook. 1 All entry fees are to be in U.S. currency only; all checks and money orders are to be made payable to S.A.C.S.O. or The Scottish- American Cultural Society of Ohio, Inc.
2 Appropriate Highland attire is expected in all events. No competition medals may be worn during the competition.
3 All competitors must wear a competition number when required.
4 Decision of judges/stewards in all events is final.
5 Any competitor not ready to compete when called will be disqualified for that event.
6 A juvenile competitor must furnish proof of date of birth if requested. Age is as of the day prior to the competition.
7 Complaints concerning The Ohio Scottish Games may be forwarded after the Games with a $5.00 processing fee to:

8 Pre-registration is encouraged but Field entries will be accepted and will be required to pay:
$15.00 for a ticket at the gate for admission to the grounds

Release for All Events
In consideration of SACSO’s acceptance of me (my child/ward) as a competitor in the 2010 Ohio Scottish Games (2010 OSG), I hereby release and waive, individually and on behalf of my heirs, executors, and administrators (and in the case of minor competitors I release and waive on behalf of the above child and his/her heirs, executors, and administrators) any and all claims, demands, and causes of action against the Scottish-American Cultural Society of Ohio, Inc., It’s agents, representatives, trustees, officers, employees and volunteers, for any and all injuries or claims of whatsoever type or nature, resulting from, or arising out of, or in any way connected with the competitions at the 2010 Ohio Scottish Games.
I also certify that I am or my child/ward, is physically fit and is sufficiently trained for competition in these events.
My signature on any entry form will indicate that I have read and understand the General Rules For All Competitors and also serve as a Complete Release to SACSO, Inc. to permit them or anyone acting for them to photograph me (my child) and to use these photographs for SACSO, Inc. publicity to publish or otherwise use in whole or in part, either digitally or in any other medium now known or later discovered, any photographs taken of me (my child) without identifying me (my child) as their subject.
It also serves as a complete release and discharge of SACSO, Inc. from any claim or cause of action, now known or later discovered, for, among other things, right of publicity arising out of the use of the photographs.
